It shows usage and statistics for memory, processes, network, and disks. It is written in Python therefore you will need Python3 (3.7 or later) on your system.<\/p>\n<p>In today\u2019s post, we will see how to install Bpytop resource monitoring tool on CentOS using three different methods:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Using PIP Package Manager<\/li>\n<li>Using Yum Package Manager<\/li>\n<li>Using Snap Package Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note: <\/strong>All the installation methods described here have been tested on <strong>CentOS 8<\/strong> machine.<\/p>\n<h2>Installing Bpytop Using PIP Package Manager<\/h2>\n<p>In this method, we will install the Bpytop resource monitoring tool using the PIP package manager. Perform the below steps in your system in order to install Bpytop:<\/p>\n<p>1. First, install Python3, gcc, and python3-devel packages using the command below:<\/p>\n<pre>$ sudo yum install python3 gcc python3-devel<\/pre>\n<p>You may be provided with the<strong> y\/N<\/strong> option. Hit <strong>y<\/strong> to carry on the installation.<\/p>\n<p>2. Then install psutil package using the command below:<\/p>\n<pre>$ sudo pip3 install psutil<\/pre>\n<p>3. You can do so by installing the epel-release package using the command below:<\/p>\n<pre>$ sudo yum install epel-release<\/pre>\n<p>You may be provided with the<strong> y\/N<\/strong> option. Hit <strong>y<\/strong> to carry on the installation. It will then install the epel-release package on your system.<\/p>\n<p>3. Then to install Bpytop on your system, run the command below:<\/p>\n<pre>$ sudo yum install bpytop<\/pre>\n<p>You will be provided with the<strong> y\/N<\/strong> option. Hit <strong>y<\/strong> to carry on the installation. Install Python3 using the command below:<\/p>\n<pre>$ sudo yum install python3<\/pre>\n<p>You may be provided with the<strong> y\/N<\/strong> option. Hit <strong>y<\/strong> to carry on the installation.<\/p>\n<p>2. Now to enable the EPEL repository, run the command below:<\/p>\n<pre>$ sudo yum install epel-release<\/pre>\n<p>3. Then install snapd package and enable the snap communication socket using the commands below:<\/p>\n<pre>$ sudo yum install snapd<\/pre>\n<pre>$ sudo systemctl enable --now snapd.socket<\/pre>\n<p>4. Now run the command below to create the symbolic link:<\/p>\n<pre>$ sudo ln -s \/var\/lib\/snapd\/snap \/snap<\/pre>\n<p>5. However, you can change it by pressing the <strong>Esc<\/strong> key and going to <strong>OPTIONS<\/strong>.
