Many users use these applications to remotely help their coworkers and family members manage their systems. These applications let the helper access the remote system screen on their local systems as if they are actually sitting in front of their screens. Some of the most used <a href=\"https:\/\/linuxways.net\/de\/centos\/top-4-free-and-open-source-remote-desktop-tools-for-linux\/\">remote desktop applications<\/a> include TeamViewer, <a href=\"https:\/\/linuxways.net\/de\/ubuntu\/how-to-install-anydesk-on-ubuntu-20-04-18-04\/\">AnyDesk<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/linuxways.net\/de\/ubuntu\/how-to-install-vnc-server-on-ubuntu-20-04\/\">VNC<\/a>, RealVNC, TigerVNC, Remmina.<\/p>\n<p>This tutorial, explains how to install TeamViewer on <strong>openSUSE Leap 15.3<\/strong>. For non-commercial use, TeamViewer is free, however commercial use requires a cost-based license. You can use it\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamviewer.com\/en\/download\/linux\/\">on <\/a>, Mac, Windows, and Linux.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: You cannot install \u201cTeamViewer\u201d and \u201cTeamViewer host\u201d on the same machine at a time.<\/p>\n<h2>Method #1 Installing TeamViewer through RPM<\/h2>\n<p>This method covers the installation of TeamViewer on openSUSE using the RPM package available at the TeamViewer official website.<\/p>\n<p>1. To download TeamViewer, visit TeamViewer official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamviewer.com\/en\/download\/linux\/\">Downloads<\/a> page for Linux. Then download \u201cTeamViewer\u201d or \u201cTeamViewer host\u201d for openSUSE system. Now in order to install TeamViewer on your openSUSE system, run the command below:<\/p>\n<pre>$ sudo zypper install .\/teamviewer-*.rpm<\/pre>\n<p>Before running the command above, ensure that you are in the same directory that includes the downloaded TeamViewer .rpm file.<\/p>\n<p>After running the above command, it will display the installation details and then ask for confirmation. You can continue the installation by pressing the <strong>y<\/strong> and then <strong>Return <\/strong>key. Extract the downloaded archive through the command below:<\/p>\n<pre>$ tar -xvf teamviewer*.tar.xz<\/pre>\n<p>Before extracting the tar file, ensure that you are in the same directory that includes the downloaded TeamViewer tar file. To verify if the tar file has extracted, run the <em>ls<\/em> command. Run this command in order to remove it from your system:<\/p>\n<pre>$ sudo zypper remove teamviewer-suse<\/pre>\n<p>Provide the sudo password when the Terminal prompts for it. It may also prompt if you want to carry on the procedure. Press <strong>y<\/strong> and then <strong>Return <\/strong>key.
