Installation of Zoom application on Ubuntu 20.04 <\/strong><\/h2>\n

You can install the Zoom application on Linux using three different methods:<\/p>\n

    Install Zoom using the GUI (Graphical user interface)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Download the zoom package using the URL https:\/\/zoom.us\/download?os=linux<\/a> <\/p>\n

    Select the Linux type and then architecture according to your system requirements and then click on the \u2018Download\u2019 button. <\/p>\n

    Once you click on the Download, a dialog will appear on the window where you will select the \u2018Save file\u2019 option and then click on the \u2018OK\u2019. <\/p>\n

    In a while, the downloading process will start. Once you have completed the download process, move into the \u2018Downloads\u2019 directory and right click on the downloaded .deb package. Further, select \u2018Open with Software Install\u2019 option from the dropdown menu.<\/p>\n

    The following dialog will be shown on your desktop. Now, click on the \u2018install\u2019 button and enter the administrative password to continue the installation.<\/p>\n

    Install Zoom from the Command line <\/strong><\/h2>\n

    If you are a Linux user and familiar with Ubuntu 20.04 operating system. Then, you can install Zoom from the terminal in some short steps which are given as follows:<\/p>\n

    Step 1: Download Zoom .deb package<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Open the terminal using the \u2018Ctrl + Alt + t\u2019 keyboard shortcut and download the latest Zoom .deb package by typing the following command on the terminal:<\/p>\n

    $ wget https:\/\/zoom.us\/client\/latest\/zoom_amd64.deb <\/pre>\n

    Step 2: Install Zoom .deb package <\/strong><\/h3>\n
    Once the download is completed, by using the following commands you will navigate the downloaded package and install Zoom on your system:<\/p>\n
    $ cd Downloads<\/pre>\n
    $ sudo apt install .\/zoom_amd64.deb <\/pre>\n

    Step 3: Launch Zoom<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    Once the installation of the Zoom is application is completed, launch it by typing the following command on the terminal:<\/p>\n
    $ zoom<\/pre>\n
    Or you can launch it from the application search bar. Click on the Activities section and then type \u2018zoom\u2019 in the search bar. The following result will display on your desktop:<\/p>\n

    Click on the zoom application icon and launch it. You will see the following window on your system:<\/p>\n

    Remove or uninstall Zoom<\/strong><\/h2>\n
    You can also uninstall this application if you don\u2019t want to use Zoom any more. Type the following command to uninstall the Zoom app:<\/p>\n
    $ sudo apt remove zoom<\/pre>\n
    Install Zoom using Snap <\/strong><\/h2>\n
    You can install zoom using the snap package manager. For this purpose, type the following command on the terminal:<\/p>\n
    $ sudo apt install snapd<\/pre>\n
    <\/p>\n
    Now, type the following command to install the zoom-client on your system using the snap application:<\/p>\n
    $ sudo snap install zoom-client<\/pre>\n
    <\/p>\n
    Using snap, you can also uninstall the zoom application by typing the following command:<\/p>\n
    $ sudo snap remove zoom<\/pre>\n
