However, they can enhance their experience by modifying the font&#8217;s appearance within the terminal. For this purpose, they have to modify\/adjust specific terminal settings.<\/p>\n<p>This article demonstrates how we can change the font of a Linux Terminal.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How to Change the Font of Terminal in Linux?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>By default, the Linux Terminal has a Font Size of \u201c<strong>12px<\/strong>\u201d and the Font Family is \u201c<strong>Monospace<\/strong>\u201d. To enhance the interface, the fonts can be customized. The steps below explain how we can do so:<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Step 1: Open Terminal<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>While you are on your desktop home screen in Linux, move the cursor to the top left of the screen and you will see \u201c<strong>Activities<\/strong>\u201d written. sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1629px) 100vw, 1629px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Step 2: Open Terminal Settings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Click on the 3 bars that are available at the top right of the sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 733px) 100vw, 733px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This will open up the settings tab.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Step 3: Create a New Profile<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The preferences option will lead you to the \u201c<strong>Preferences Window<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"644\" class=\"wp-image-20402\" clicking on the \u201cProfile Option\u201d at the left navigation side menu:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"796\" height=\"564\" class=\"wp-image-20403\" (max-width: 796px) 100vw, 796px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once clicked, it will ask you to name the profile:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"796\" height=\"566\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 796px) 100vw, 796px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enter the name you want to give to your profile and then click the \u201c<strong>Create<\/strong>\u201d Button. The changed settings will be applied to your \u201ccustom1\u201d profile. Select a Profile. After that navigate to the preferences where you will find the profiles option. Add a new profile and select a custom font. Save the profile and then in the terminal settings, navigate back to the profile and select your profile to make changes to the Linux terminal.
