One method is the use of File Manager or GUI (Graphical User Interface) and the other method is the Terminal or CLI (Command Line Interface).<\/p>\n<p>In this article, we will see the stepwise procedure for running a file in Ubuntu using the Terminal.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How Do I Run a File in a Terminal Using Linux\/Ubuntu?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Ubuntu Terminal is a preferred way of running the files as it provides \u201c<strong>Flexibility<\/strong>\u201d, \u201c<strong>Automation<\/strong>\u201d and \u201c<strong>Debugging<\/strong>\u201d. File<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>To run a file in Ubuntu, a better approach is to first list all the files in the directory and then run it. To run each type of file, you will use a specific command. The different types of files in Ubuntu are \u201cRegular files\u201d, \u201codt files\u201d, \u201cScript files\u201d, \u201cConfiguration files\u201d, \u201cArchive files\u201d, \u201cExecutable files\u201d and many more.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Running Regular Files<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Regular files consist of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Text Files (.txt)<\/li>\n<li>Audio Files (.mp3)<\/li>\n<li>Video Files (.mp4)<\/li>\n<li>Images (.jpg\/.jpeg)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Running a Text File<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To run a text file in Ubuntu, use the \u201c<strong>nano<\/strong>\u201d command along with the file name. In the following example, we are executing the <strong>nano <\/strong>command to run the \u201cabc.txt\u201d file:<\/p>\n<div class=\"codecolorer-container bash blackboard\" style=\"width:100%;\"><div
