This article demonstrates the installation of a <strong>.deb file\/package <\/strong>by two popular package managers: <strong>dpkg <\/strong>and <strong>apt <\/strong>on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"post-22205-_vwi4ezl9toa3\"><\/a>How to Install a .deb File\/Package in Ubuntu 22.04?<\/h2>\n<p>Dpkg and apt are two of the most popular package managers in Linux. The installation of a \u201c.deb\u201d file\/package will be demonstrated in the following sections via dpkg and apt package managers:<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"post-22205-_bxx8w22b1byi\"><\/a>How to Install a .deb File\/Package via \u201cdpkg\u201d Package Manager?<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cdpkg\u201d delivers low-level package management, i.e., it does not check and install dependencies.
