In this article, we will show you how you can check system and hardware details using command-line and GUI in Ubuntu 20.04 (Focal Fossa).<\/p>\n

Method # 1: Using Command-Line<\/h2>\n

System-Specific Information<\/h3>\n

All information about the system can be printed using the following command in the terminal:<\/p>\n

$ uname -a<\/pre>\n

The information has following meanings.<\/p>\n

    Options along with the command can be used to print individual parameters. For example, the kernel release can be printed using the following command:<\/p>\n

    All the Linux distribution information can be viewed by typing in the following command.<\/p>\n
    $ lsb_release -a<\/pre>\n

    1. Version (not shown as lsb-core<\/em> package is not installed): No LSB modules are available.<\/li>\n
    2. Distributor ID (-i<\/em>): Ubuntu<\/li>\n
    3. Description of distribution (-d<\/em>):\u00a0 Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS<\/li>\n
    4. Release number of the distribution (-r<\/em>): Release: 20.04<\/li>\n
    5. Codename of the distribution (-c<\/em>):\u00a0 focal<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
