User should be logged in as administrator or a root user on your system.<\/p>\n

Installation of VeraCrypt on CentOS 8<\/strong><\/h2>\n

VeraCrypt can install on CentOS 8 system by using the CERT Forensics Tools, which is a third-party repository. In this article, we will install VeraCrypt encryption software using the Cert forensics repository. For this purpose, follow the below-mentioned steps:<\/p>\n

Step 1: Download Cert Forensics tools\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

First, download the cert forensics tools by using the following URL:<\/p>\n

https:\/\/forensics.cert.org\/cert-forensics-tools-release-el8.rpm<\/a><\/p>\n

Open the above URL in a new browser tab.\u00a0 The rpm package will automatically start downloading on your system. Save this package in the desired directory.\u00a0 Select the \u2018Save File\u2019 option and then click on the \u2018OK\u2019 button. The downloaded file will show you in your system\u2019s \u2018Downloads\u2019 directory.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Install cert forensics tools rpm package<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Now, right-click on the downloaded rpm file and select the \u2018Open with the software install\u2019 option to install the cert forensics tools on your system as follows:<\/p>\n

The following window will show on the desktop. Click on the \u2018Install\u2019 button to install the cert forensics tools.<\/p>\n

The rpm package will completely install on your system in a few seconds, and the following window will show on the desktop.<\/p>\n

Step 3: Install VeraCrypt\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Enable the forensics repository on your system and install VeraCrypt by using the following command:<\/p>\n

# dnf --enablerepo=forensics install veracrypt<\/pre>\n
After running the above command, VeraCrypt along with all dependencies will install on your system. The dialogue will appear on the terminal. Enter \u2018y\u2019 to confirm the installation of VeraCrypt on the CentOS 8 system.<\/p>\n

During the installation, the cert forensics tools repository key will automatically import into your system. Again press \u2018y\u2019 to continue this process.<\/p>\n

Once the installation is completed, the complete status will display on the terminal.<\/p>\n

Step 4: Launch VeraCrypt<\/strong><\/h3>\n
Launch the VeraCrypt encrypted software on your system by using the application search bar. Type the \u2018VeraCrypt\u2019 in the search bar and the Veracrypt icon will display in the result.<\/p>\n
