How to Install Lynis on Linux Mint 20

Method of Installing Lynis on Linux Mint 20:

Step # 1: Update the Cache of Linux Mint 20 System:

Step # 4: Update the System’s Cache Again:

After doing all this, you need to update your system’s cache again by running the following command:

$ sudo apt update

Step # 5: Install Lynis on Linux Mint 20:

Now, you can install Lynis on your system by running the command shown below:

$ sudo apt install lynis

Step # 6: Find out the Version of Lynis Installed:

Finally, you can find out the version of Lynis installed on your system by executing the following command:

$ lynis show version

Method of Removing Lynis from Linux Mint 20:

For uninstalling Lynis from your system, you simply need to run the following command:

$ sudo apt-get purge --autoremove lynis
